9. May 31, 2003.  Prior to today's monthly CCAS star party at Santa Margarita Lake KOA, a group of CCAS members hold an informal get together at Russ & Cheryl Genet's home next to star party hill.  Left to right: Max Corneau, Aurora Lipper, Cheryl & Russ Genet, Greg Campbell, Aurora's husband Al, Cliff Buttschardt and Melody Moore.   photo by Aurora Lipper

3. June 28, 2003.  Soon-to-be Fresno State student Even Frey is astonished to hear Cheryl Genet tell Julie Reil that Russ just placed an order for a $ multi-million 6.5 meter telescope he plans to install at Rainbow's End.  Russ wants MORE LIGHT that the 10" Meade just does not provide.   :-)     (wishful thinking!)  photo by Tom Smith
2. June 28, 2003.  To Russ' disappointment, Ray Weymann informs us that a 6.5 meter telescope observatory facility is so large that it will totally replace the entire Rinconada General Store and Trailer Park community.  So .... that puts the old kybosh on that plan!  :-)   (Ray chats about his astronomical experiences).  photo by Tom Smith
1. June 28, 2003.  Pat and Jim Carlisle enjoying the festive evening.  photo by Tom Smith
