1. May 23, 2003.  Tom Smith and Walt Reil ventured to RTMC for their first time.  It is about a 6-hour drive from Atascadero.  Here, Tom studies the telescopes in the Celestron booth.
2. May 23, 2003.  Tom and another RTMC visitor study the new Meade 14" LX200 GPS SCT.  The standard scope tripod is in back.  The tripod in front is a shorter size used on Meade's 16" LX200.
3. May 23, 2003.  The main vendor display area.  The truss-tube Dobsonian on the right is 32" diameter, a real monster scope.
4. May 23, 2003.  Looking back from the Celestron vendor booth at Oceanside Optical's booth and others.
5. May 23, 2003.  Walt Reil and Glenn Elliott are very excited to be standing next to their new joint telescope purchase!  They wish!  I think they are happier with their smaller SCTs.  To get a better feel for the size of this monster, here is an even larger image.
6. May 23, 2003.  Camping and telescope viewing area.
