Walt, I saw your note about the teacher desiring help with a radio astronomy project. Do you know if they will be using parabolic antennae? If they are, I've built more than a thousand of them and know what it takes to make them efficient. I would like to help in any capacity.

Walt I received a call today from the owner of the 16" LX200 Meade, she wants me to show off the sky tonight. I haven't been out there for a couple of months and I've been wanting to check out mars. The owner said I could invite anyone I'd like. Wanna e-me, or call 610-3542?

Well.... where do I start? Thank you for the great links. I'm giving a lecture on astronomy to a large church organization (kids club: Pathfinders of the Seventh-day Adventist church) in Monterey this weekend and your "links" really helped me out on being able to find some constellation pictures with and without lines. Great stuff and very impressive website with how much data you have to share. Thank you.

I have an opportunity that i am very excited about. I have a new customer that bought a home with an observatory on the third floor, in this room sits an lx-200 16" Meade scope on an equatorial pier and a serial port hookup to a computer. The customer has no knowledge of astronomy or scopes but wants me to learn the system so as to teach them. Anyone out there familiar with this beautiful system?

This is a test of CCAS' new guest book. I wish to acknowledge and thank Wayne Miller, SLO Tutor at www.slotutor.com, of his wonderful and excellent support in resolving guest book setup difficulties. He certainly knows his Internet programming. His effort in quickly correcting the problems was outstanding, demonstrating the spirit of community support of non-profit service organizations such as the CCAS. Well Done, Wayne! My hat's off to you.
